Captain JD has been a professional mariner for over 30 years. He has worked on all types and sizes of vessels from 17'-310'. He holds a USCG 1600/10,000 ton license and USCG Train the Trainer Certification. While he still makes his living working on ships his work schedule allows him to do what he truly loves when he is home: share his knowledge and love of the water with others. His focus here at ON COURSE is on training, safety and sharing his passion for being on the water. His wife and co-captain in life for over 20 years also loves to be on the water and may crew on some charters as will their 18yo son when he's available. This is a family business and we are all passionate about being on the water!
